Race Day Details
The NoDaWeen Freaky 5K is a fun run hosted by the NoDa “NBA” – Neighborhood and Business Association. Come run though one of Charlotte’s most historic and spookiest neighborhoods. Participants are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes as prizes will be handed out for best costumes and for fastest runners. A post-run party will be held at NoDa Company Store. This race is great for experienced and beginner runners or walkers and for families, friends, teenagers, kids, and strollers! Leashed and well trained dogs are also welcome to join the fun.

Pre-register by Monday, October 24th, 2023 and receive a stylish t-shirt and swag bag with local goodies with your race package!

NoDa Downtown Candy Crawl
The NoDa Downtown Candy Crawl is back for it's 4th year! We invite all of you young goblins and ghouls to our family-friendly trick or treating adventure in downtown NoDa on Sunday, October 29th starting at 5pm. Participating businesses are listed in the interactive map below, with pop-up businesses at the YMCA front lawn.

35th Street Trick or Treat

35th Street Halloween Decoration Contest
This year for the 35th Street Trick or Treat Party, we're hosting a house decoration contest! Music, decorations, and props are encouraged. We're on the *haunt* for the spookiest, best decorated house on the block. Winner receives bragging rights until the following year as well as a $200 prize!
To sign your house up for the contest, please fill out this survey by Friday, October 27th, 2023. Each house will be provided with a flyer to notify trick or treaters that they are a part of the contest and trick or treaters will be encouraged to vote for their favorite house at the NoDa NBA table at The Local Loaf. Winner will be announced through the @nodaclt Instagram page that week!
For this year, we're only accepting submissions for houses on 35th Street from N. Davidson to Holt Street. We'll hopefully expand the search in future Halloweens!
